1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BillYantra ("the Service", "we", "us", "our") — a product of Webshilp E Commerce IT Solutions (GSTIN: 07DCRPK6635R1ZJ) — you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. These terms apply to all users of BillYantra, including free-plan users and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

BillYantra is a cloud-based GST accounting software that provides tools for creating GST-compliant invoices, managing purchases, recording accounting vouchers, tracking inventory, generating quotations, credit notes, payment reminders, and AI-powered tools for Indian businesses. The service is accessible via web browser at billyantra.com and via the BillYantra Android app available on the Google Play Store.

3. User Accounts & Registration

• You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
• You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

BillYantra offers both free and paid subscription plans.

• The Free plan is available indefinitely with the features described on the Pricing page.
• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use BillYantra to:

• Create fraudulent, false, or misleading invoices or financial records.
• Violate any applicable Indian laws, including the GST Act, Income Tax Act, or any other legislation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data.
• Transmit any malware, viruses, or malicious code.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm BillYantra or its users.
• Resell or redistribute access to the service without our written permission.

7. Your Data & Privacy

Your financial data belongs to you. We do not sell, share, or use your business data for any purpose other than providing the service. Please read our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, store, and protect your data.

8. GST Compliance & Government Affiliation Disclaimer

BillYantra provides tools to help you create GST-compliant documents. However, we are not a GST consultant or tax advisor. The accuracy of tax calculations depends on the information you provide (including correct state codes, GST rates, and HSN/SAC codes). We strongly recommend that you verify all GST filings with a qualified Chartered Accountant. BillYantra is not liable for penalties arising from incorrect GST filing.

BillYantra is a private product of Webshilp E Commerce IT Solutions and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the Government of India, the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN), the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), or any other government body. GST rates, HSN/SAC codes, and return formats (such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B) referenced in our service are provided for convenience and reference only. The authoritative and official sources are the Government of India GST portals: gst.gov.in and cbic-gst.gov.in.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of BillYantra — including but not limited to the software code, design, logos, and text — are owned by BillYantra and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of our service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BillYantra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience technical issues that temporarily affect service availability. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you may export your data for 30 days, after which it will be deleted. Paid subscriptions are not refunded upon voluntary termination mid-period.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email and via an in-app notification at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Delhi, India.
