Pro Plan Free Trial — How It Works
Every new BillYantra account automatically starts with a 14-day free trial of the Pro plan. No credit card is required to start.
What You Get During the Trial
During your 14-day Pro trial you have full access to all Pro plan features:
- Unlimited invoices — no 50-invoice Free plan cap
- Unlimited AI invoice templates
- Unlimited AI credits for generating templates
- GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B reports
- Automated payment reminders
- Purchase & expense tracking
- Credit notes and debit notes

How Long Is the Trial?

How to Check Your Trial Status
Go to Settings → Plans & Billing. You will see:
- Your current plan: Pro (Trial)
- The exact date your trial ends
- A countdown showing how many days remain
What Happens After the Trial Ends?
When your 14-day trial ends, your account automatically moves to the Free plan unless you have upgraded to a paid plan. On the Free plan:
- Existing invoices and data remain intact
- Limit of 50 new invoices per month applies
- GSTR reports, templates beyond 1, and automated reminders are paused
Your data is never deleted — upgrading at any point restores full access.
How to Upgrade Before the Trial Ends
- Go to Settings → Plans & Billing
- Click Upgrade Plan
- Select Pro (₹349/month or ₹2,999/year — save ~28%)
- Complete payment via Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking accepted)
Upgrade takes effect immediately. Your billing cycle starts from the day you upgrade.
Extend Your Trial via Referrals
Refer a friend using your unique referral link (found in Settings → Referral Program). When your friend signs up and completes their first paid subscription, you earn 30 extra days of Pro plan access. There is no limit on how many referrals you can make.

Q: Do I need a credit card to start the trial? No. The trial is completely free and requires no payment information.
Q: Can I downgrade during the trial? Yes. You can switch to the Free plan at any time from Settings → Plans & Billing, though you will lose access to Pro features immediately.
Q: What if I upgrade during the trial? Your paid subscription starts from the upgrade date. The remaining trial days are not carried over, but you gain uninterrupted Pro access going forward.
Q: Is the trial available again if I cancel and re-register? No. The trial is available once per email address. Re-registering with the same email will not grant a new trial.
