Share Invoice via WhatsApp
BillYantra makes it easy to send invoices to customers directly via WhatsApp with a single click.
How to Share via WhatsApp
- Open a finalized invoice.
- Click the Share via WhatsApp button in the action bar (green WhatsApp icon).
- BillYantra generates a secure, time-limited link to your invoice PDF.
- Your device opens WhatsApp Web (or the app on mobile) with a pre-filled message containing the invoice link.
- Select the customer's contact and send.
What the Customer Receives
The customer gets a message like:
"Dear [Customer Name], please find your invoice INV-2024-001 for ₹11,800 attached. Due date: 31 Jan 2024. [View Invoice Link]"
The link opens a mobile-friendly invoice preview. From there, the customer can download the PDF or pay online (if payment gateway is enabled).
Customising the WhatsApp Message
Go to Settings → Message Templates to edit the default WhatsApp message text. You can use variables like {invoice_number}, {amount}, {due_date}, and {customer_name}.
Bulk WhatsApp Reminders
To send WhatsApp reminders for overdue invoices in bulk, go to Sales → Invoices, filter by status Overdue, select multiple invoices, and click Send Reminder.
Note: WhatsApp sharing opens WhatsApp Web or the WhatsApp app on your device. BillYantra does not send messages on your behalf — you confirm and send from your WhatsApp account.
