Hide GST on Quotations — Inclusive of All Taxes

📅 Updated 18 Sep 2026 👁 13 views

Some clients prefer to see a single all-in price rather than a separate GST line. BillYantra's Hide GST option lets you present a clean, inclusive price while still correctly calculating the tax internally.

What "Hide GST" Does

When you enable Hide GST on a quotation:

  • The item table on the PDF shows only: #, Item, HSN/SAC, Qty, Rate, Amount (total including tax)
  • The separate Taxable Value, GST %, and GST Amount columns are hidden
  • The Subtotal and GST Total rows in the summary are hidden
  • The Grand Total is relabelled as Total Amount (Inclusive of all taxes)
  • A footnote appears: "Price is inclusive of all applicable taxes (GST)."
  • The detailed tax breakup table is replaced with a brief italic note

GST is still calculated at the correct rate — it is just not displayed to the client. Your GSTR-1 reporting remains accurate.

When to Use It

  • Client says "just tell me the total" and doesn't care about GST breakdown
  • You are billing a B2C consumer who cannot claim ITC anyway
  • You want a cleaner, simpler-looking proposal for small jobs

How to Enable It

  1. Open the quotation (create or edit).
  2. Scroll to Options at the bottom of the form.
  3. Tick the Hide GST on PDF checkbox (shown in amber).
  4. Save the quotation.

The generated PDF will reflect the change immediately.

Important: Even with Hide GST enabled, your internal records and GST reports always show the full tax breakdown. This setting only affects the PDF presentation.
